When Michael Santarcangelo leaves on a business trip, he very rarely says goodbye to his wife, Tricia, and two small children. That’s because his family gets to go along.
An author, professional speaker and consultant — Santarcangelo spends up two-thirds of the year traveling for business. Tired of leaving his family behind, he bought a 40-foot deluxe motorhome to bring his work and family with him.
A graduate of Cornell University, Santarcangelo drives in his RV to speak at conferences, conduct seminars and work with clients spread around the country. He owns Security Catalyst, a company he started in 2002 to help businesses and organizations protect information. His job, which involves consulting, training and speaking engagements, keeps him on the road for long periods of time.
The RV allows Michael Santarcangelo to successfully integrate his business life with his personal life. While on business trips, the family checks out tourist attractions, camped out in national and state parks and regularly visit children’s museums.
After a few years of travel, they now meet with friends around the country and share in big – and small – moments.
